HELP! I know someone out there has advice for me: I got four 7 week old kittens to foster the other day. At least 2 of them keep pooping everywhere! I have to throw out a cardboard kitty condo because one of them peed in it last night. Luckily, they’re in a room that’s all tile, but I found poop on top of a play cube and the bottom of the cat-tree. The home they came from was filthy and I don’t think they got much litter box training.
Kudos to ‘Tara’ for her heroic act in chasing that dog off her young master. Put that cat on talk shows, adorn her with ribbons and serve her her favorite foods FOREVER.
2old – half the pictures but twice the laughs! Looks like you computer is in good hands…..er, paws. SallyLin – those pictures of the cat rescuing the child were from security cameras. Loved seeing that! Wet – great pictures. Still love ‘poof’! QueenofAmerica – you are a good person. Good luck! (are you really queen of America? nice to know we have one)
To JOEYWIT: Thank you! When they wake up from their midmoring nap, I will do exactly what you told me to do.I THINK it’s just one or 2 of them. I say that because I find regular poop in the box. The stuff I find outside of the box is like loose fudge. (THAT should put us all off fudge for a while!) The food is Blue Diamond kitten food but I think I will change to regular KITTEN CHOW by Friskies or Purina. They all look alike – I wish I could put a colored mark in each head!
DRY: I checked and found no worms or anything abnormal in the “fudge”, which is good. Eyes are all clear and normal. I keep the box clean a zillion times a day. I cannot abide a dirty litter box! After their noon nap, I changed out their food to regular kitten chow. Maybe the Blue Diamond was just too rich for them. I’m betting they were not getting really good nutrition in the other place. I also think they weren’t given enough. For the first 2 days here, it was like chaos at the food bowl. Now, I notice one at time can eat without the siblings attacking. TY so much for the advice. This is my 3rd year fostering and I’m still learning new things.
QueenofAmerica, I tried the reply button on your comment but it wouldn’t work for some reason. So, anyway, you are quite welcome! I am no expert myself, I just pick things up along the way. When my first cat FOUND ME, I knew NOTHING about cats. I always had dogs my whole life. Now I have no dogs, my last one died a couple of years ago, miss having one or two, and maybe someday, I will own more dogs. Right now, there are 5 cats living here, all rescues in one way or another. Bless you for fostering, that is a tough thing to do.
Glad the spelling Nazis aren’t here. I see I missed a couple of letters in my one comment. But I was typing from work, and lately, I notice when I hit a letter it doesn’t always “take”. I think I need a new keyboard.
I heard on the news that the attacking dog was euthanized. A crime, just because an owner was too lazy to train his dog. Too bad society wouldn’t let us euthanize the owner! Grrrrr!

Love the puffed up lily walking away! By the way, did anyone see the video of that cat, who body slammed a dog, to protect her little master?

I saw it, that was great! Give that Kitty some tuna!

Saw it, too. Excellent cat! I always wonder about things like that, though — what’s with the person who keeps filming instead of going to the rescue?

Don’t make Lilly mad. You won’t like it when she gets mad…

That dog was 8 months old and will be put down. Saw it on a video on CNN that’s been removed. The boy, Tara and the Mom were interviewed.
