I’ve got five Chrysler products of that general era and I’ve never had a bit of trouble with any carburetor on any one of them. The only reason I ever replaced a carburetor on them was to change a two barrel for a four barrel on one of them and to change one four barrel carburetor for two four barrel carburetors on another one.
On the water issue, was the numerous times early Corvairs had gas station attendants fill the “radiator” with water, which of course was through the oil filler.
I remember about 10 years ago the Perfessor told Irv that he had replaced every part of the DeSoto except the body, and Irv told him that the body was rejecting the transmission transplant.

Laughed, then remembered a joke I read.
Wife: “There’s trouble with the car. It has water in the carburetor.”
Husband: “Water in the carburetor? That’s ridiculous.”
Wife: “I tell you the car has water in the carburetor.”
Husband: “You don’t even know what a carburetor is. I’ll check it out. Where’s the car?”
Wife: “In the pool.”

How did he get there if there is no subway? I can’t picture Cosmo walking.

What I can’t figure out is what is a bird doing with a car plus he should have been able to fly to Shoe’s office. Like I said, he is a bird afterall.

Pink was not a standard color for the 57-59 Desoto’s… must have been a custom ordered or repainted.
