One of the best constructed GA panels I’ve ever seen!

His father built with such detail out of love for his son and the short life he may have.

    Apparently, Jim is a model-railroader himself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Scancarelli

My father built a trainscape for my baby brother, but it was not that elaborate.

This arc reminds me of Dad. He had a large collection of railroad relics and a beautiful train set. The train set got stolen, and the rest he lent to a museum. When he passed away we donated his collection to the museum. Unfortunately the museum burned in an arson fire. The railroad coach that was given to Dad but he donated to the same place is going through restoration. There is a museum there now but minus Dad’s collection, of course. Petticoat Junction, Little House of the Prairie and many other shows and movies has been filmed on location there in Jamestown, California.

Jim has the definition of prototypical wrong, but otherwise a great strip. I am married to an avid model railroader.

A note to the management of Gocomics. I will boycott every product that pops an ad and interrupts my ability to enter this site smoothly. I hope other readers do the same.
