Let me guess: John, Scott, or both have been watching the recent DVD collection of all the Mister Magoo theatrical cartoons — including “1001 Arabian Nights,” which had Magoo as the uncle of Aladdin — and Aladdin was voiced by Dobie Gillis himself, Dwayne Hickman!

In addition to his classic performance as Mr. Magoo, Jim Backus also did the voice of the genie in the Bugs Bunny cartoon, “A-Lad-In-His-Lamp”.
