I know it’s Fashionable to mock schools’ attempts to stop verbal abuse of students with learning disabilities, but expected better from this strip.

Political correctness tries to make language inoffensive, but it keeps changing and many of the decisions follow no particular logic. That’s why it gets less and less respect: less and less effectiveness.
Fires are no laughing matter. One should not dispense fire retardants in a niggardly manner.
