Hi, You All -

I am still wading, slogging, trudging, climbing and laboring through all the caption submissions. Remember, I will be selecting what I think is the best 3 captions and then we will vote on it. I hope to submit my 3 choices today sometime and then you all can vote on it for a couple of days, at which time the winner will be selected and the new, finished cartoon will be posted.

Thanks for your patience. I wish I had limited it to 2 caption submissions per reader, but alas, we learn from our mistakes.

The criteria I am using for my selections are as follows:1). Brevity;2). Logical, but unexpected;3). Uniqueness;4). Funniness, wittiness or cleverness.

I’ve waded through the caption submissions… I couldn’t boil the 170+ submissions down to just 3 finalists, so I’m giving you 7 captions to vote on. You’ll have all day tomorrow, Wednesday, to vote on your favorite.

Each reader gets one vote, one time. No multiple voting or all your votes will be cancelled.

I will post the original line art for the caption contest for tomorrow’s cartoon as a reminder.

I vote for number 6.

I looked the comic over a few times again before voting. The item in his pocket, for one thing, looks like frog legs sticking out, plus I like Digital Frog’s comment, so I vote for Digital number 2, Thom!

They are all good. I vote for #4, for the absurdity of it happening at all in the first place and then again.That’s if I get a vote Thom. No hurt feelings if I don’t.
