It is funny, I was recently thrown a surprise party, and I found out from the organizer afterward that they had requested that attendees not bring gifts. Well, as it turned out ,almost everyone ended up bringing a gift, lol

What is even worse is getting gifts for which you have no space to put them. Even if you like them. (Small apartment)
