As a teen, I visited my older brother in Georgia. I was in the pool with two younger girls (sisters). One of them said, “Y’all talk funny; where ya from?” I said, “I’m from New Hampshire”. The younger sister asked, “New Hampshire? Where’s that?” Before I could say anything, her older sister said, “Silly! That’s in the state of New England!”

Montana is a big state, but it is supposed to be bigger. If you go out to what the geographers and politicians call the borders of Montana, you will see the landscape beyond those imaginary lines is the same as on the Montana side. That is why the county of Idaho is western Montana and the county of Wyoming is southern Montana and the counties of North and South Dakota are eastern Montana and the counties of Britishi Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan are northern Montana. One of these days, those people will realize this and get it right. Maybe Lucy is right as well….

I was hoping today’s strip would be about CB’s kite eating tree.Believe it or not, during my walk through a city park today, I walked under a tree, that had a kite string dangling from one of its limbs — no kite anywhere in sight.Sparky was from MN, where I live. I don’t know if there’s a connection.Statues of Peanuts characters are spread throughout the metro area, and Minneapolis is adding more for the MLB All Star game; but I haven’t heard that my city is doing anything (like hanging kite strings from tree limbs).

Linus always had more book smarts than Lucy, but tended to be a bit too naïve.

Yes, he visited 57 (or whatever number) states, even though he didn’t visit HI or AK. You added the word all, which he never said.

I wonder if he remembered Iowa. I always forgot Iowa.
