As far as I know, my father was the first in his family to go to college: Brigham Young University (he enrolled as a Methodist and graduated as a Latter-day Saint).

Stupid. There’s no reason to give Gracie illusions of grandeur. Sergio could be proud that he has higher education and could encourage Gracie’s older brother to pursue better things in life. Sergio and Baldo going to college does not lessen Gracie’s achievement if she should earn a degree. She needs to get over herself or she may have a rude awakening when she does go (IF she goes).
