Transcript:
My Papi says I'm gonna be the first in my family to go to college! Nora: My Mami says I'm going to college, too! Gracie: We need to fill out our applications! Nora: Yeah! Gracie: As soon as we finish our mud pies.
I didn’t have a chance to comment yesterday. Sergio boosting her motivation is nice and all, but did he really have to treat his son like a bag of rocks to do so? Baldo’s about 8 years older than Gracie. He has an actual brain (which we see at work or sometimes with his friends, instead of him being so often written as a moronic slacker at home). I’d say there’s a pretty good chance of him going to college.

Just because your parents want you to go..doesn’t mean you have to. Especially with all the horrid student debts children have.

I love that Gracie is both wise beyond her years and yet still a child with all the delight at the universe a child’s mind has.
