I’m not following you, somebodyshort, what do big families have to do with Radio Frozen Dinners? ;)

Gaijinrabbit, and may even survive TV.

You had to crowd around the radio so you could hear well enough.

Some of those old radio shows were good, particularly the comedies.

Before that, frozen smoke signal dinners………….

A friend of mine was all bent out of shape when the CD changer in his car failed. I asked him, “Does the radio still work?” to which he said, “Yes; but, nobody listens to the radio anymore!”Interesting to note, he works for a local broadcasting school…

No, that’s because just about the time everyone had a TV, they invented the pill.

When I heard the creaking door of “Inner Sanctum” I knew it was time to go play in my room! My mom would iron (women did that waaaaay back when) and listen to Stella Dallas and “Can a girl from a little mining town in the West find happiness as the wife of a wealthy and titled Englishman?” Funny, the stuff you remember…..

It was wonderful.
