The WWII submarine training base was on Pond Orielle Lake ine Idaho.

I trained at that base in Idaho. I was surprised to learn that some people really thought that there was a tunnel to the ocean.

There is a sea story about the ‘Louis and Clark’ submarine. It was headed for its base in Spain. It surfaced off the coast of Portugal. From then on, its nick-name was ‘Lost and Confused’.
