    My husbandā€™s chiro said to take your body weight, divide by two, then drink that much water in OUNCES daily. Of course, if exerting yourself more than usual, adjust intake upward.

    My doctor says a lot of people drink too much water today. It washes away potassium and sodiumā€¦.and other water soluble chemicalsā€¦

    This Doctor says that 120 ounces a day is 10 Cokes! (Or beer, or whatever.) I think the older theories on how much have changed recently. Varnes is right about Na, K, etc.

    At the start of my walk today, I weighed 209. At the end, I weighed 202 (more than a 2% loss). Maybe the scale is broken.

    In the ā€˜50s. I heard that baseball pitchers could lose 10 pounds in a game. (Yes, thatā€™s when they used to pitch complete games.)
