Bears don't actually hibernate! They can wake easily during the winter and their body temperature doesn't drop by much, unlike that of other animals that truly hibernate. Elvis Presley's bejeweled jumpsuits could weigh more than 30 LBS! Parmesan cheese gets its distinctive smell from butyric acid, which is also found in vomit and body odor.

If Parmesan smells like barf & B.O., what does Limburger smell like: feces and unwashed feet?

I really did not need to know that about parmesan cheese… Seriously, I love that stuff and now I am not convinced that I want to keep eating it. Thanks to whoever submitted that one!!!

Oh, sweet mother of God, I’ll never eat Parmesan cheese again! Thanks a lot, Graziano!

But I don’t think Elvis ever was that thin while wearing those. Those were mostly the “fat years”. In his “thin years”, he wore less gaudy stuff.

Small animals like moles—they TRULY hibernate: lower body temp, slower heart rate, torpidity, etc. We call this “physiological hibernation”. In the case of bears, they merely cease to interact with the outside environment. We call this “ecological hibernation”.

Now I know why I’ve never cared for parmesan cheese.
