Saleswoman: Drugstores today are full of skin care systems. But DEPARTMENT stores employ highly trained cosmeceutical professionals. When I recommend a .03 ounce jar of "eye repair" for $85, you're getting something you'll never find in the "lotions" aisle: Cathy: $85 for THIS??! Saleswoman: Someone to scream at. Cashier: Providing a natural toxin release! Your skin's already glowing!

You know, this makes me happy to live in China. Abundant, cheap (for someone making enough) skincare and they like white skin! For someone who burns in the light of a full moon it’s wonderful.

I wouldn’t wish a Walmart on anyone - but I agree the sales people in this one may deserve it;-) and I wouldn’t want to move to China (or anywhere) but I also avoid the sun- as you can see by my photo.

That is too much money for that little bit. Studies have shown that the lotions they sell in the drugstores are just as effective as the expensive ones in the department store. And I always feel like the women selling the stuff don’t know the true answers to the questions I ask, just the sales pitch that they’ve been taught.

When I need something for skin care, I ask a medical person for a recommendation, even if it is an over-the-counter product.

Failing the discount stores, there’s always Avon which is STILL cheaper than the mall, and they come to you!

I used to work with a Dermatologist who specialise in beauty and he would tell me that the lotions they sell in the drugstores are just as effective as the expensive ones in the department store. You pay the big $$$$ for the name only.
