Tammy Duckworth? Is she running? She would be great.

Joanie is quick on her feet in this one.

Tammy appears to be a worthy candidate, but unfortunately, she was born in Thailand, so she can’t be President unless an amendment to the Constitution is passed.

Her father was not an American citizen?

Shucks – it appears her father was a Brit (and a Marine). The Brits – the very people the law was designed to keep from the presidency.

Well darn I guess Ted Cruz can’t be prez either. Or Arnold Schwarzenegger. John McCain was born in panama but never mind.

Under US law, that makes her a “natural born citizen.” Her mother is Thai of Chinese heritage. She has served her country bravely, losing both legs in Iraq when the helicopter she was in was shot down in Iraq. At a time when veterans feel neglected, they will have someone in the White House who understand their needs. She understands firsthand the foolishness of running into a war blindly. So, let’s get this ball rolling.

She just needs to be prepared to be attacked on health issues (look at Hillary): “How do we know she doesn’t have PTSD? Can she serve without legs? Is she mentally stable?”Never mind that they started the war that gave her the injuries.

It sounds good to me, too; Duckworth/Sanders sounds even better..Warren might run if Hillary didn’t. But, since I don’t see a snowstorm outside, I’m not counting on that.

Well, sounds like what we need to do is un-nominate him as the GOP candidate for president in 2008, ex post facto or whatever.

Naw, we’re just still happy that a furriner didn’t win the 2008 election!
