Garfield: Sometimes, when I watch the news, I think that humanity might be in trouble.
Garfield: But then I look out the window on a bright, sunny day...and I know it's in trouble.
This actually reminds me of something that happened several years ago. My grandparents had a wasp nest in a bush in front of the porch. Well, my Granddad WD-40’d it thinking he’d get rid of it. Then my Dad decided to burn the nest without knowing it had been sprayed with WD-40. The bush caught fire, and almost burnt the deck down. There was a kiddie pool sitting in the yard in front of the porch, and using buckets and a garden hose the fire was out.

My city is going mad for the want of money. The cracks are starting to show since they turned off the unemployment spigot last December.

Nic Cage would make an excellent guest star in the strip today.
