In my youth, during a good rain I liked to don a bathing suit, get a hoe, and make furrows in our yard for the water to run into. There was something magic-feeling about that.

I rode my motorcycle through a lightning storm during a long ride. The flash/bang interval was almost nil so things were striking very close. It wasn’t safe but exhilarating. At 70+ mph, I didn’t stay inside the storm front very long or get very wet.
