And here comes L.A. Mona to wreck shop again.

And yet, I don’t remember Mona actually talking about having any encounters with men. Nah, she couldn’t be…

I can understand that Mona is somewhat nervous so she is using M. Smokey there as her security and comfort zone. Why rush into this relationship thing if you aren’t comfortable and ready.

She herself has spoken the unpleasant truth: Mona is too frigid and uptight. –Or, in other words, not yet ready to “take this relationship to the next level.”

Had we but world enough, and time, This coyness, lady, were no crime. But at my back I always hear Time’s winged chariot hurrying near; And yonder all before us lie Deserts of vast eternity. Thy beauty shall no more be found, Nor, in thy marble vault, shall sound My echoing song; then worms shall try That long preserv’d virginity, And your quaint honour turn to dust, And into ashes all my lust. The grave’s a fine and private place, But none I think do there embrace. Now let us sport us while we may; And now, like am’rous birds of prey, Rather at once our time devour, Than languish in his slow-chapp’d power. Let us roll all our strength, and all Our sweetness, up into one ball; And tear our pleasures with rough strife Thorough the iron gates of life. Thus, though we cannot make our sun Stand still, yet we will make him run.

To his Coy Mistress, Andrew Marvell

Mona is pretty clear in identifying herself. “Frigid and uptight!” Funny how that still has “attraction power.” Empty as that is. That’s what’s too bad for Mona.

Hmmm… Ya know, wasn’t Mona a bit tipsy while she was around Ryan in Hawaii? Maybe she needs to imbibe some amber liquids here to get, ummm, loose, so to speak?

Ron, Ogden Nash had that covered too:

Candy is dandy But liquor is quicker.
