The Buckets by Greg Cravens for July 10, 2014
Transcript:
So, if we have this million-dollar superhero idea, what do we do with it? I guess we... Draw a comic book. Cool! I'll get paper. I've got a box of pens and crayons and stuff. Ok. Start at the top. Draw his name in really cool letters. Are you nuts? You put first issue collectors item at the top.

Yep, that sounds like the state of things these days. So tell me… Where do “traditional comics” like The Buckets and web-fare like Hubris stand with you? Am I doing a satisfactory job?
I honestly appreciate the feedback, y’know.
Probably an ego thing. I’m a cartoonist, after all.

I love this strip and remembering when my now-young-adult kids were those ages and I love coming here and checking for comments from you, Mr. Cravens; thank you!

Ah! wonderful. I’ll take the fact that I dragged you into Hubris as a triumph. Glad you’re reading. Hope you’ll enjoy the new story arc. I’m ’bout to throw Mr. Burgess Smythe-Cholera off the deep end.

Greg, I appreciate how you treat the adults in this strip — and I’m certainly not “knowledgeable” about comics/cartoons. I’m just an “enjoy-er” and I enjoy this one! I don’t read many on a daily basis, but this is one I follow! Along with Red and Rover! :)

Eddie is The Best! and since you created him, GregCravens, I’d guess he’s a part of who you are. So carry on.“A Satisfied Customer”

would not be here if I didn’t like the strips. .and the kids have it right. Start with the title. Then make everything fit the title. (isn’t that how everyone does it?)
