Brklnbern: I don’t know about Abbott and Costello, but it sure sounds like a line from a ’30s or ’40s movie. Sounds ethnic to me. I can picture Chico Marx saying it, or possibly a Mel Blanc character in a Warner Bros. cartoon.

Jeff, didn’t you ever play “pass it on” when you were a kid? Just give Mutt the black eyes, punched nose, and loss of teeth that Spike sent him.
Better yet, tell Spike that Mutt calls him a coward and dares him to come outside and deal with him personally.
