Transcript:
A Boondocks black history moment: February 12, 1917: The first Converse all-star basketball shoe is sold. February 13, 1917: The first "You scuffed my Converse all-star!" homicide occurs.
Weak research by McGruder here. While Converse Rubber did introduce an athletic shoe for basketball (and other indoor court sports) in 1917, the name “All-Star” and the star logo (with the famous Chuck Taylor endorsement) didn’t appear until 1921. C’mon, man!

When I was a kid, I had a classmate who was a “new shoe Stomper”.
He did it out of pure Maliciousness.
