Riley: OK, granddad says I have to help. What is this yard work stuff all about? Huey: Well, you gotta push that death trap over every inch of this plantation masquerading as a lawn, in the searing heat and man-eating insects. Riley: What? Huey: But do you want to know the really sick and twisted part of this whole scenario? Riley: What? What!?? Huey: In a few days, we gotta do it all over again!! Riley: They'll never take me alive. I'm movin' to Mexico!

And not only that, in the meantime we’re gonna be watering it to be sure it grows enough so that, in a few days, we’ll HAVE to be doing it all over again!

I’ve seen houses in the southwest U.S. have yards without grass. Mostly rocks and plants.

@batmanwithprep You’ll see more, some places have made grass lawns illegal. The Colorado River level has fallen. There is just not enough water to go around.

Two things you learn real quick about mowing the lawn are (a) don’t let it get too tall, and (b) don’t wait until the heat of the day to get started! Procrastination is NOT your friend!
