Dear Hobbes, (the commenter)I want to thank you for your contribution to this space, giving us a topical documentary on a daily basis. All from what seems to be an archive going back decades, very nicely tying into the theme of the day, You mix in equal parts of humor, philosophy, and corny puns, and give us a new appreciation for this art form. And I will never stop believing that you are of a higher calling. You are the Ken Burns of comic strips.
When we built our last house, I suggested to the architect we should have a drain in the center of the kitchen floor and a hose attached to the wall. He asked me if I wanted a garbage disposer in the floor as well..I thought it was a really great idea; but my wife, not so much. I didn’t get the drain in the center of the kitchen floor…
@Thirdguy: You asked what they call me in Missouri. Don’t know — I haven’t been to Missouri in a long time. I should go there for a visit. You know what they say: Missouri loves company.

Thanks, Thirdguy. In China, I’m what they would call a “Tiger Dad.”

@Thirdguy: No, I’m closer to Bill Watterson than that.
:>)Perhaps you are confusing me with the Missouri Tigers?
