My wife just likes it if I actually suggest some to cook. For some reason, I have no preferences for meals anymore—everything tastes the same—there is no difference in flavors ! ! !
Several years ago I admitted to my hubby that, although I have loved cooking for and pleasing my family, through the years, after many decades, I now dislike cooking. He said HE would cook. He now cooks and cleans up. We are both happy with that arrangement.

Fifty four years for us. My wife still works; I do the housework including the cooking and clean-up.
