I Am wondering, however, if the Latinas that work there want the four abortifacients (sp. ?) that HL refuses to offer… Doesn’t this go against Latino/a culture?

Latinos tend to be Catholic, so it tends to be against their religion.

Whatever anyone thinks of HL, that “Sharia” bit is beyond unfair.

No, when a customer asked about Chanukah crafts, they were told essentially, “We don’t cater to those people.”So, neither Leviticus nor Sharia for them..Best way to keep the riffraff out of the holy stores. Come to think of it, if they just called each store a church, no more taxes!

I read the piece on the Greens of Hobby Lobby in Time magazine and it was scary. I can’t even boycott their stores since I never shop there to begin with (the same goes for Chick-fill-A). Again, where does Lalo bring up Latinos in this strip? Or do you just not like that the characters in his strip are Latino? As for happy, go back to this Sunday’s strip and tell me they’re not happy. I think the person who’s never happy is you, indie. Is all of your kvetching just a twisted cry for love?

Why is it the employer’s job to pay for birth control anyway, religious views or not? There’s a difference between “health care” and personal choice. Same with Viagra. Let those who need it or want it pay for it.

Well, let’s see: neither nighthawks nor I said you shouldn’t post here. So what I infer from that is that any time someone forcefully disagrees with you, they’re trying to censor you. Which is a really backwards way of thinking about censorship..And what’s your problem with a comic strip full of Latinos? There are plenty of strips full of white folks. Plenty of strips full of animals. Even a few strips predominantly with black folks. So if you’re going to be fair, I think you need to cast your net a bit wider as far as your racial complaints..In fact, you’ve just contradicted your previous post about Latinos being unhappy about everything. That wrestler, who you point out is LATINO, is pretty damn happy. So which of your posts are you standing behind now? Or are you so enamored with complaining for complaining’s sake that you don’t care about consistency?

No, not even where he mentions sharia law. Both radical islam and radical christianity are repressive of women. The GOP has waged a war on women for years now.It makes me wonder how a woman can vote so much against her own well-being.
