Do some research. Very few Americans don’t have a trek in their history. The man who established public education in England was an ancestor of mine and his head is buried in a church in Carlyle. There were lots of great stories. I even discovered an ancestor who commanded a regiment in the Revolutionary war. Should have qualified me for the DAR except they have some sort of problem with his wardrobe— don’t care for the color of his coat.
