I’ve had my share of fake trees, and, after airing out from the first opening—after all they’ve been cooped up and shrink wrapped for God knows how long—there’s no smell.
Our last Xmas tree was so loaded with rag weed pollen that we had to drag it outside after 3 hours. It was all natural but incredibly toxic. Never again.
Looks like the first fake tree we had back in the 60s where each branch had to be individually inserted into the holes in the wooden pole “trunk.” My Dad would organize them by size each year as we packed the tree away so it wouldn’t look funny the following year.

You can buy a room-deodoriser that smells of pine.

After seeing the devastation of a house fire caused by a real Christmas tree, I went out and bought a fake one and never looked back.
