I love how outraged Petey is at the idea of eating the note. The mark of a true picky eater, cold or no cold.

Lycanthropy! He’s going to turn into a werewolf now?

Poor Petey- all this aggravation on top of a cold - good one, Richard! Can’t wait for Viola’s and then his reaction to the lizard;-)

So - it’s not a full moon but a drippy nose that we need to be aware of?

A tip of the hat to Mr. Thompson–I’ve never seen an artist convey the runny nose/cold as skillfully as he does!

His hallucination is writing him notes now? Creepy.

Hair is already growing on his knuckles and there is a burgeoning howl developing.

Ewww, can’t imagine anything worse than an attacking werewolf getting snot all over me.

Now Petey has even bigger problems. Could Viola and Ernesto, imaginary or otherwise, have gotten together while he dithered over giving gila monster gifts? “Youth is wasted on the wrong people!” - It’s a Wonderful Life

If he eats the note there’s still no way to determine whether Ernesto is imaginary or not. If he doesn’t … well, whose handwriting is it? :o
