(I wanted to get the scar on my chest inked into a thermometer but no one could figure out how to make the red line movable. I thought it would have been an creative tat.)
I read somewhere that hatbands used to be treated in mercury, and the hatmakers would go nuts from handling them, and that is where we got the term “mad as a hatter.” I know that has nothing to do with the comic, but speaking of mercury made me think of it.
