I remember reading one decision where a guy clumsily cut off a finger while using a particular knife to cut something in his kitchen. The court ruled that the knife was sharp beyond all belief and therefore should have come with a warning that it was SO sharp that your fingers were at risk so that the user would use more than ordinary care when employing it.
It’s results like this that cause your ladder to have more warnings on it than steps.
