The fact that I laid in bed daydreaming for an hour and a half after I woke up this morning certainly adds to the time required to get stuff done. And, I may do some paperwork or gardening today- if the mood hits me. Retirement is the ultimate luxury.
My buddy is like this guy, though my buddy laughs at me because I have to cram all those things into the weekend and he does not because he is retired.
We launched into home repairs and remodeling jobs, systems upgrades for the first few years. Then we did a few years of volunteer work, followed by taking care of an elderly parent for several years. Now, a trip to one of the Warehouse stores is the high point of the week. Pitiful, really.

23 years and counting as of last March.. I never called it ‘retirement’…merely a ‘lateral career move’…
