Paige: Uggh! I can't believe school starts in a week! Roger: Wait...it starts in ONE week? I thought it was in TWO weeks! I was going to take time off work so we could do a bunch of fun stuff together while there was still time! I had it all planned out! We'd go to the Matchbox Museum...catch a matinee at the big mime theater downtown...hike the historic lost settlers' trail..maybe check out the aquarium's new plankton exhibit...I can't do anything THIS week...I have meetings every day! DANG IT! Oh, well. Maybe next summer. Paige: I assume he made all that up so I'd be glad that school was starting. Peter: Never make assumptions with that man.

The only time my parents took a vacation was when my father was ready to snap at work; he left to get away from the responsibilities but he dragged us along for the ride because they could not afford a sitter for us.

Our family vacations were few and far between, but we did go to some neat places.1. Carlsbad caverns.2. The Alamo3. Corpus Christi/South Padre Island.All more than once, but us kids were glad to go because of the paucity of them.

Paige’s hair looks blonde to me. He sure seems to have found a way for parents to stop their kids whining about starting school. xD
