Pooch Cafe by Paul Gilligan for March 01, 2010
Transcript:
Poncho: You can't come in here! You're a human! Mailman: I have to! There's a blizzard out here! Poncho: There's no humans allowed in the Pooch Café! And a mailman is the worst kind of human there is! Bark, bark, bark! Mailman: Oh, stop acting all tough. You can either bite me or not bite me, and we both know you're not going to bite me.

I hope it’s not a heart attack! That’s not funny! Really not funny!
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
But tripping is a different story! Naughty Poncho.
carmy about 15 years ago
His trip was worse than his bite. Now instead of being out in the cold, he’s out cold.

WoodEye, look at Poncho’s foot in the last panel. Not that I understand how he can trip anyone with that tiny foot…
RangerFish about 15 years ago
Yeah I missed the foot as well untile Lonewolf’s comment

Bit six times in my Postal career, I now LMAO at mailman vs dog jokes. I would like to see a dog get bit though.

MAILMAN BITES DOG!!!!! Hot off the presses. Whatta story!!!!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Did you enjoy the trip?
websaim about 15 years ago
That “dog” looks like a footstool. I can’t guess why anyone thinks it’s interesting. I keep getting it in my email along with a GOOD comic, Non Sequitur. How can we send this guy back to art school. BARF
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Paul G, your strip is an awesome one today and most days as well!
fritzoid Premium Member about 15 years ago
Non Sequitur is a great strip, no doubt about it. Pooch Cafe is also a great strip, unquestionably. Cul de Sac is another great strip, as is Heart of the City. This list is by no means meant to be exhaustive.
So many great strips available, so many different cartooning styles, so many funny and talented cartoonists. They’re all free, and nobody is forcing anyone to read strips they don’t like. If a person dislikes a strip, I often wonder just what impels that person to visit the strip merely to comment on how much he or she dislikes it… There are strips that I don’t like, but I simply don’t read those.
Yes, it is a puzzlement.

I agree fritzoid. I often wonder that myself.

that walking in the blizzard was too real-
now that the mr. mail is on the scene again, have more pity…
remember when he was the bait for machoing the gang; hell, remember when he saved Poncho from being drownd. what a life, nothing but bites. I think dogs are kinder after all this time.
verdai about 15 years ago
just saying that the contrast between high level language and barkbarkbark from Poncho, the last being what we all have heard from dogs everywhere, is pretty arresting.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
This is on my list of must read comics. I too wonder why some choose to make negative, unnecessary remarks.

Should’ve never went in there.
