If he lives in Florida, the gator found the pool all by himself. We live in Maryland, and have had snapping turtles discover our pool. Fortunately, they don’t care for chlorine.
The worst thing I get in the pool is an occasional palo verde beetle (like a big roach), but I just immobilize them with a squirt of Basic-H and make sure the birds find them.
My friends have a pair of mallards visit their pool while they look for a nesting place in the near by wetland. Mr. Mallard visits more often, leading me to believe he has too much time on his hands, lol
