I doubt cavemen gave it any more thought than squirrels or the flat earth society members do.

Flat Earther’s are probably fiercely divided about how the Sun traverses the night. Is it a fiery chariot racing through a subterranean labyrinth, or a carefully cut and painted wheel of construction paper spinning on a brad? Who knows? There are no end to the schisms.

We should invent our own schism, and support that. Somebody come up with something especially egregious to believe!

I’m guessing that cavemen were used to the rising and setting of the sun; they took it in stride as an ordinary occurrence. But something out of the ordinary, like an eclipse would fill them with fear.

Oh, play fair. Everyone gets to comment. If a comment seems out of place, just remember to be amused by it. That sort of thing will not only keep you smiling and calm, but outrage the heck out of the people you’re being amused by. Now, you’re halfway toward being a cartoonist!

could go back to the old ways – with the Druids. Or Gaia. Though there is the problem of food. Can’t eat the animals, but plants are suppose to be sentient. So we need to develop food cubes. ….(ohhhh , the vegans will love parts of this)

Are you sure? We seem to have a surplus of them in the GOP these days.
