Is this Comic even syndicated in ANY newspapers? I heard it is a webcomic, but it is in a larger syndicate, so I’ve wondered.

Maria wishes she did. Just wait until your comic strip collections get published and hit the best seller list (or is that just my wishful thinking?)…

and this would be why I only own C&H books. They were the only authorized merchandise, and as said many of the rip offs were extremely crass. BTW good to see you Hobbes ol’ buddy!

BTW Maria, If you think your folks are anti-commercial you should meet Calvin’s Dad.

I’m getting the impression Watterson is coming out of retirement what with the “Pearls” strips , this and other strips referencing ( and reverencing ) him. Hope so.

Maybe Sack just likes to provoke a reaction; gets a cheap thrill out of it. He’s generally pretty off-base in his observations.

I was just watching Spaceballs, and started thinking about this comic, so let’s misquote Yogurt:

Merchandising, merchandising, where the true money from a comic strip is made. Maria’s Day-the t-shirt, Maria’s Day- the coloring book, Maria’s Day-the lunch box, Maria’s Day-the cereal, Maria’s Day-the flame thrower. The kid’s love this one. And last but not least, Maria’s Day-the doll, Maria. (Pulls string)Maria: I don’t have a catch phrase. Hey, can I see that flame thrower for a sec.

@thomas scott roberts / John Zakour – I pay the gocomics “pro” fee because I love to read strips (including your Working Daze and Maria’s Day).. hope that you guys get at least part of that … the piddlin’ amount I pay seems too damned cheap to me… where do I send the check ;-)
