I am working, actually lucked into a job in Feb with a nearby school district. It’s union, after 6 months probation, but 30 hours a week at 8.50….. Well.. You do the math, my rent is about 80% of my current income. At least there’s hope, I know it will get better.Luckily om co-driver’s wife wants one of the “Ginger twins” I hope they take Bear, who is sweet and purrs so loudly. I want to save Chester for myself or Barbara’s nurse.I just love how they all have tufted ears, That leaves Just Bob and Electric shoe to find homes for.Scats would not take them, they are not a shelter, they have a storefront and home the kittens at night with them.Very commendable, being stuck all night in a cage waiting for humans to come back would be sad.Personally, I’m relieved about not having to drive an hours with all those innocent faces staring at me from the carrier on the passenger seat , plaintively mewing “why, why?”I’ve had little free time and will get caught up on emails tonight after I go to the food banks after work today.Hopefully bear or chester will get a new home shortly and i’ll be able to get updates from my co-worker.Bear is on the leftThe county I live in had had a feral cat problem since forever, I’ve lived all over in the last 22 years here and there is always a stray or two or three or more..I’ve never seen a problem like this in all my years.
We are going up to family cabin for a few days in August and are discussing taking Yum-Yum. Then we thought – 5-hour drive with screeching Siamese in a cat carrier. So, we will have a neighbour come in and play with her and feed her each day.
ADream4U- . The kitties are adorable. In December of 1977 I was just out of college (I had graduated in June at the age of 26) and down to my last bit of rent money. I had spent 6 months looking for a job. I had no clue what I would do – and I had a 7 yr old daughter to take care of. My neighbor told me about the local school district – I applied, interviewed and got called that night. I was so relieved that I cried while talking to my new boss. My first paycheck for an entire month was $400 and change. So you see, I DO get it. I spent the next 28 yrs with the district climbing the ladder and was able to retire with a nice pension at the age of 53. That was 10 yrs ago. Don’t forget to send me an email; I really DO want to help you with getting mama spayed.
Apparently, if you decide to have a house bunny, you must bunny proof the house when it comes to electrical cables. The insulation on modern indoor cables is a soy based plastic.Bunnies find that tasty…
I have many friends here I have come to know over the years, so many now that are in my prayers at night to cover ALL. THE POSTERS I “KNOW”, THE CARTOONISTS WHO BRING SUCH GREAT JOY TO US that it is now just a Prayer to cover all of you!*

When my daughter got her first apartment, she got 2 bunnies but different breeds. She learned the hard way about cords and cables.
