Why does no one question WHY Nick is shoveling snow/ice at HIS age?Even if his son did Nick’s pavement, Nick should NOT be shoveling. During the last snowfall an 88 Y.O. man dropped over dead. This was in my local area.Frank, Joe, & Ruthie (I’m not sexist!) should get to work! BTW, shoveling an elderly neighbor’s walkway is a mitzvah. Nick should be resting. The younger generation(s) should take up the slack.

A little at a time – know when to stop should be OK. NO overexertion, NO heavy breathing, NO well I’m almost done, I’ll just keep going till I finish. Do a little, then go inside and breathe warm air for a while. It looks like a light snow he’s working in, only 2 or three inches, so he should be OK for a while, especially as he seems to do more talking than shoveling., Let COMMON SENSE prevail, which unfortunately men have a tendency to ignore.
