One year for our anniversary I took my wife out to a fancy Chinese restaurant. She looked at the “Animal of the Year” calendar they have, and noticed my year was a rat. Her year is a snake. She looked at me and said, You know"Snakes eat Rats". That proved to be an anniversary I will never forget.
It depends on the snake, but some of the larger constrictors can eat all but the dragon, ox, and if grown, tiger. I was born in the cock in the oriental system and supposedly Taurus (bull) in the oxidantal, but actually the sun was in that long extension of Pieces and hadfn’t even entered Ares. Showing the whole thing to be a cock-and-bull story and fishy.

Or, if Rexy Snake isn’t hungry, the mouse will eat the snake.

I like Ruthie’s version better as Joe’s is more common sense.
