Actually, his name is Smokey Bear. They put “the” in the middle back in 1952 to make the song flow better.

From 1969 to 1986 Smokey was voiced by Roger C Carmel (Harry Mudd from ST:TOS). He has been voiced by Sam Elliot since 2008.
