Reply to yesterdays question, that great sound is the factory radio playing off a cheap mp3 player in my old Buick Park Ave. It’s one of the few things that work and it drowns out the wheel bearing noise and the broken shocks in the back very well. But hey, it’s gets me to work and 3 more payments and this aging heap of American Iron is mine! I’ also 6’ 4" and I can fit comfortably in it. I shouldn’t knock it, really, i get 30mpg it looks good and I think it’s the ONLY GM model that didn’t have a recall. Also a big shout out to QofA, you rock! And big purr from Chester who is sleeping in my lap, making me late for work.I really hate to wake him up, i want to take him with me.
Aw geez, this made me angry and sick to my stomach! NSFW not safe for anyone! read at your own risk and for pete’s sake don’t look at the pictures!http://news.yahoo.com/vietnams-taste-cat-leaves-pets-peril-035946482.html;ylt=A0LEVw2mbddT_WUAST9XNyoA;ylu=X3oDMTEza2YxaGVmBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDNARjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkA1ZJUDQ4M18x
Good morning all. Doing a cleanup in the plant corner as Yum-Yum attacked the African violet again. She doesn’t try to eat it, just likes to knock it flying every once in a while. Now it is lopsided from the leaves that broke off. I guess someday I’ll have to give up and get a rubber rubber plant.
Its time to face the music (sigh). My part Maine Coon goes to the Vet today for his annual vaccinations. I fear the over/under on his weight is 15 pounds and I am due a scolding. But when I cut back on his majesty’s food, he just sits in front of his empty food dish and glares at me expectantly.
Gweedo: all taken care of for Taffy. Waiting to see on Chester. From door to door, we went 2076 miles. Total cost of gas was $478.08. Gallons used was 131.9 so IF I have done this correctly, we got 15.73 miles to the gallon. I don’t think that’s terrible for a 2007 F150 .
Is this the cats on their day out. Actually a lot of people are doing this – taking pictures of themselves in front of a vacation poster and acting like they are there. Rikkie Tavi – cute kitten video and I agree with what you said.
Good news for me- the other foster mom is picking up the pregnant kitty at the shelter today. I was terrified something would go wrong during the birth and I wouldn’t know what to do. Susan said she was going to save me for kittens with “poop problems” since have experience in that area. Oh, yay.
Speaking of car suspension…Last sunday I was rear-ended by a dumpster in an alley (or, should i say… isn’t it good – Norwegian Wood). Ripped a gash in my plastic rear bumper – which I filled in surprisingly effectively with silicone sealant. But, driving the car around yesterday, I got the impression that the rear suspension was… different… somewhat less effective. Is that a possibility, or am I just letting my imagination find trouble where there probably isn’t any?
Brad said it’s a 3/4 ton. Not just luggage and tools. The chains are back there along with emergency stuff. That doesn’t even cover the stuff in the backseat area! I should load a pic onto photobucket and post here for you. Even tho I hate driving the darn thing and can’t see out of the shell, I’m glad it’s there. The first truck we owned didn’t have a shell or tonneau cover. We went on a trip to TN in the late fall and had to put everything in huge garbage bags when it rained and move stuff to inside the cab when we stopped for food. What a pain in the patootie!
Gweedo: OK- two laptops, my purple laptop tray, his second pair of cowboy boots, his second cowboy hat, a case of water on the floor, his three seat cushions, tote bag with ice and water, snack bag, my back pillow, the trunk organizer that he keeps there with his paper towels, 3 bottles of window cleaner and other stuff and Kleenex box. At this point, there are some extra bags with some new rodeo shirts and stuff.
Thanks! The car’s a 2002 Passat. How fast was i going? Let’s just say, I’m fairly sure you can run faster. Doesn’t feel like an axle problem, but problems with the shocks and springs are possibilities. It reacts to small surface irregularities more like a small boat than a bicycle, if that makes any sense. But I’ll get the “pros” to take a look soon, as you advised.
