One of the worst thing to do when sneezing is to cover your mouth with your hand, especially when you cannot clean your hands directly after.Who cares if the bacteria land on the floor? That’s a lot better than having them in your hand (a tissue isn’t enough) and then shaking hands with the next person.An elbow may catch most of it, but the floor is still preferable.
Now this can be dangerous. Years ago I was walking down a street and this ignorant pig, coughed in my face as he walked by. I ended up with the only cold I’ve had in 30 years.
I find this strange – more often than I would have thought there are two (or more) comic strips on the same day with similar themes. But today Born Loser and Broom Hilda are almost copies of each other.

Sneezing into the air will contaminate surfaces and people. Sneeze into the crook of your elbow. That way it’s not on your hands.
