I would like to point out that at M.I.T. there is an annual ritual of tossing objects from one of the buildings… a “physics experiment” if I remember correctly. And they used a Frat brother to measure the bridge – google “Smoot”. He could still end up at M.I.T. Curiousity and seeking the thrill of first hand exploration are NOT counterindicated for M.I.T. Especially at his age. :-)

bigpuma: With me, it was the opposite. I learned to recognize letters by three, so I learned to read by asking what does … spell? Fortunately, there was little graffiti in those days.
