Uh-oh, already it’s time for a gerdo-berdo reprise. I guess we all knew this was coming. Scancarelli’s cyclical lapse into self-indulgent bad taste
The squirrel-pelt is a wig. She put it on last Halloween for her big night at the music hall and hasn’t taken it off since. Her real hair is white and pulled straight back in some kind of bun.
Re: Rufus and group, I’d just as soon lose them for a while. When reading the Rufus-based comics, I start to feel IQ trying to trickle out of my ears.
The rest of the Wallet regulars, on the other hand, are delightful to follow, as always.

New story line…Wonderful. Is Byrd and Gertie back in the picture?

Wow….so nice to have a change in storyline!! I see Gertie is keeping the wig. Or either she cut her hair to resemble the wig.

Good to see Gertie and Walt again. Good to see black and white artwork, too!

As with the names of all people other than e. e. cummings, the proper names of African Americans like Earl and Gertie are capitalized.
