    1) What’s a trapper keeper and 2) why would you want your phone to smell nice?

I was never allowed to have trapper keepers in school. But one year I had one with the Beast from Beauty & the Beast and my teachers never said anything. Makes me think they never would have.

Trapper Keepers were great. I loved the multicolored folders. Something about being able to organize your own schoolwork gave you a sense of power…

I was always a little jealous that Trapper Keepers came out after I could logically use one. I think I just didn’t try hard enough….

I loved my Trapper Keepers [and pretty much any organizational items] but never could use them to what I felt was their full potential—still not sure what that would be, but definitely felt like somehow I wasn’t doing enough to be worthy of owning one. I do still have a binder, for certain “important” artwork, which is important in that I want to keep it but have not actually managed to sort it in any functional way.

Actually, I still go through the Back to School stuff and browse backpacks all the time, even though I still have a perfectly good one I’ve sewn all kinds of patches on [Invader ZIM, various web comic exclusives]. Some mystic “my life will finally come together once I organize all my stuff properly” vibe.
