You forgot the preservatives, and if you are really lucky you get aspartame or some other bogus sweetener/poison.
White flour, white rice, and a few minuscule dollops of artificial vitamins for “enrichment”.
AND, just possibly the worst ingredient of all, hydrogenated and/or partially hydrogenated oil – as in Margarine, the most ridiculous scam ever perpetrated on the food chain. Since cottonseed oil is not good nutritionally, and comes heavily laced with pesticides and herbicides from the cotton crop, the absolute pits of “industrial-waste food” is Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil.
You eat margarine, or cookies, or cereals, or “bread” (as in bleached white flour and chemicals “bread”)??? Check the ingredient list. You will be surprised at how often “hydrogenated cottonseed oil” appears.
Its virtue for the Manufacturers? Cheap, cheap cheap, and it NEVER rots or spoils. How could it? Nothing can digest it.

I checked seven cereals and could not find a single cotton seed. Not even a cotton boll weevil.
