I was in my house once when a bat got it. Have never seen a cat jump three feet straight up before. (No, it didn’t get the bat.)

My cat caught a bat, brought it into the house where it roosted in the Christmas tree, which was TOO much for my wife, who, I thought, killed it with a broom. The last action of its life was to bite me. Rabies shots in the end of your finger HURT!

Apparently someone forgot to put the screens back when they took down the storm windows.

We’ve got a “cat dancer” toy which is a 3’ long piece of springy wire with some small cardboard doo-dads strung on one end. The cats will jump with all their might (easily 3’, possibly more) try and catch it as it bounces around.

The only problem is that if you’re not careful where you’re bouncing the toy, your cat may end up jumping on you in full attack-mode. Ouch!

Just 3 feet? My sister’s Siamese got startled by a dog once, came up behind her and started barking. She easily went 12 feet vertical, rotated 180 degrees in mid-air, and was shredding the dogs face on the way down. Then proceeded to chase the dog all the way back to it’s house!
