This drove me batty with TV shows like “boy meets world” where they get the same teacher every year even though they are clearly progressing through school. I’ve never had the same teacher twice. Starting with the sixth grade, I never had the same teacher for 2 different classes.

There are a lot of kids out there that need to start with a clean slate. Gives them a chance… to either prove they are better than last year …. or .. jus the same. as to TV teachers being the same…. Not so on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But that was mainly because they had a tendency to die or in the case of the principals – be eaten. Same is true for the newer series – Teen Wolf. For the same reasons as Buffy.
