A non-compete clause implies that, once upon a time, you did sing in one of those more popular trees in the park. When you decided to leave, you had to agree not to appear in that same ‘market’ for a set period of time. So, Rose’s tree must be outside of that market…
I’m always thankful when a mockingbird decides to grace me with a lengthly concert out in my patio and always reward him by tossing out some grapes as soon as I can.

I have an arbor of grapes in the back yard; they can serve themselves as long as my cats can watch.
